Covid Outbreak: Several renowned artists, actors, opera singers , film directors and writers have lost their lives amid recent surge in Omricon infections in China
In response to a recent rise in Omicron infections in China, a number of well-known artists, actors, opera singers, film directors, and writers have passed away. The covid infections in the Chinese mainland also claimed the lives of several performers, including Actor Zhang Mu, Ren Jun, Chu Lanlan, Cheng Jinghua, Yu Yuheng, Xiong Yingzheng, Hou Menglan, and Zhao Zhiyuan, who had ties to the Xi Jinping-led Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
Mao Zedong was portrayed by actor Zhang Mu, 92, in a number of CCP movies. The China Opera and Dance Drama Theatre Opera ensemble was directed by calligrapher Zhang. Zhang was born in 1930, and at the age of 16, he enlisted in the CCP’s revolutionary force in northeastern China. He joined the CCP’s southern art troupe as an opera singer when he was 21.

According treport, Peking opera artist Song Changrong, also known as Song Baoguang, died on December 16 at the age of 87. Song was a member of the Jiangsu province rubber-stamp legislature as well as the deputy director of the Jiangsu provincial Association of Stage Performers. Ren Jun, a Peking opera performer who received praise from early CCP leaders Zhou Enlai and Mao Zedong, died on December 17 in Beijing at the age of 103.
A 60-year-old screenwriter named Yang Lin passed suddenly in Henan Province on December 21. Yang wrote the propaganda play “Red Flag Canal” in the 1960s. However, the 54-year-old director Wang Jingguang passed unexpectedly on December 21. It tells the story of how Chinese people fought nature in a conflict motivated by Mao Zedong’s ideas.
In November, China saw a record increase in Covid – 19 , outbreaks
China had a record rise in regional COVID-19 outbreaks in November. The authorities implemented partial lockdowns in some regions as well as daily PCR testing for inhabitants as a result of the deterioration in the epidemiological situation.
Restrictive measures were specifically tightened beginning on November 24 in a number of major Chinese cities, including Beijing and Shanghai.
In light of this, there were widespread protests in a number of Chinese cities, including Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Wuhan, and others. The rioters asked that lockdowns be immediately lifted, that routine PCR testing be stopped, and that COVID-19 restrictions be relaxed.
According to information released on Friday, the COVID-19 outbreak in China, which is currently the greatest in the world, may have affected as many as 37 million individuals in a single day last week. It was observed that the coronavirus was expected to have infected up to 248 million people, or nearly 18% of the population, in the first 20 days of December.
The Covid virus is ravaging regions of China, and millions of people are battling to acquire medicine – from the most basic cold medications to use at home to stronger antivirals for patients in hospitals.
Many people in China, gripped by grief and worry, demand a national reckoning over the strict Covid policy. According to reports, holding the government responsible may be a fruitless endeavour.
