The decision on the approval of the corona vaccine Covaxin will be taken next week. The World Health Organization has given this information.
In September, the World Health Organization (WHO) said that a decision would be taken in October on the company’s request to list Bharat Biotech’s anti-Covid-19 vaccine Covaxin for emergency use (EUL).
Bharat Biotech had sent an offer of interest (EOI) for its vaccine on 19 April. The WHO said that it had started reviewing the vaccine data on July 6.
Only after this approval will Covaxin be considered a vaccine approved by most countries around the world.

On September 27, there were reports that the World Health Organization (WHO) has sent more technical questions to the vaccine manufacturer Bharat Biotech. After which it was believed that this approval may be delayed.
Dr. Navit Vig, chairperson of the Covid Task Force at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, told ANI, ‘The whole world needs a vaccine. Many countries have not yet got the vaccine. This is a global war and we have to ensure that our vaccine is approved at the right time. “
Last Friday, AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria had said that the delay in getting the emergency use approval for the vaccine will be difficult for Indians, especially students, who have to go to other countries for studies. He said, ‘EUA is very important. Because without this the vaccine will not be accepted in the world.’
