Germany, France, Italy, Ireland and the Netherlands have also banned its use after the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine reported a blood clot. At the same time, the Oxford Vaccine Group vaccineologist Prof. Andrew Pollard said, “There is no correlation between the blood clotting with the vaccine.”
Citing a report, he said that on an average, about three thousand cases of blood clot occur every month in the UK. Such cases are also coming up between vaccinations and such cases are being linked to it. On the other hand, Dr. Phil Bryan, Vaccine Safety Lead of MHRA, the UK drug control agency, has said that people get vaccinated without any fear and hesitation.
At the same time, AstraZeneca and global health officials have claimed that the vaccine is safe. French President Emmanuel Macron has said that the use of the AstraZeneca Corona virus vaccine in France is being suspended as a precaution. However, he did not give detailed information about the reasons why this is being done.
Germany also banned its use following reports of possible side effects of the AstraZeneca Covid vaccine. The government has said that this step was taken in the wake of reports of blood clots forming in the body of the vaccine.
