The world’s largest vaccination campaign continues in India. Now India is the second country in the world after the US to have the fastest vaccination. More than 10 million people have been vaccinated in India and the most important thing is that India has crossed this figure in just 34 days.
As of Saturday, more than one crore people have been vaccinated with Corona and India is the second country to do so in the whole world. Earlier, the United States had vaccinated 10 million people in 31 days. India has completed this figure in 34 days.
India started vaccinating people on 16 January to fight the corona and also administered the fastest dose for a few weeks. But due to some people being hesitant and some technical glitch, the pace slowed down and America went ahead.
So far, 2 lakh 20 thousand 877 sessions of vaccination have been conducted in India and a total of 1.04 crore people have been vaccinated. These include 63 lakh health workers and close to 34 lakh frontline workers. Thursday’s day was very successful in terms of vaccination. On this day, 6 lakh 58 thousand 674 people were vaccinated with Corona. This is the largest number of vaccinations in a day.
It is known that vaccination campaign against Covid-19 started in the country from 16 January. People taking the first dose of vaccine after the completion of 28 days, a second dose has been started from 13 February. Covid vaccine was introduced from February 2 to personnel deployed on the front. A total of 6,58,674 people were vaccinated on the 34th day of the vaccination campaign. Of these, 4,16,942 beneficiaries were given the first dose and 2,41,732 health workers were given the second dose. Vaccination was carried out in 10,812 sessions on the 34th day.
