Karnataka Health Minister K Sudhakar has stated that the second wave of the COVID pandemic in the state will be seen in the first week of May and taer off subsequently.

On Sunday, the state saw the spike of more than 10,000 new COVID cases.
“The second wave of Covid is likely to peak by May first week in the state and slow down by May-end,” he told reporters after a meeting with health experts here.
He also said that the Karnataka’s health infrastructure would be the matter of concern from next month.
Meanwhile India reported more than 1.5 lakh new cases of COVID-19 cases in a single day.
