Male Menstruation: According to the South China Morning Post, Chen Li, had to undergo an operation due to urinary problems as a teenager. Since then, he repeatedly saw blood in his urine (For the last 20 years). But when he experienced abdominal discomfort that lasted for more than four days, a doctor diagnosed him with appendix. However, even after treatment, the symptoms continued. He then went to the doctor and thought he had some slight urinary issues, but the results showed something else. The doctors as well as the test results surprised him! (Yes you read that right) The results stated that he didn’t have any urinary problems, but was on his periods. (Surprised? Had female reproductive Organs
A medical examination revealed that the Chinese man also had female reproductive organs such as ovaries as well as a uterus. And his levels of the male sex hormone androgen were below average. So basically the 33-year-old was then identified as intersex, that is a person with both male and female reproductive organs.
Meanwhile, this Chinese man has been living as a man for the last 30 years, thus he requested the doctors to have his female reproductive organs removed.
Recently, Mr. Li underwent surgery and was released from the hospital 10 days later. A complete shocker for the doctors as well as the man who has been going through this for more than 20 years.
