In view of the decrease in new cases of Covid-19 in West Bengal, the state government has allowed the restaurant to open for three hours. However, the condition of the government is that all the people working there should have got the anti-Covid vaccine. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced this on Thursday. The state government is also considering to open shopping malls with 25 percent working capacity from June 15.
Banerjee said this after holding a meeting with representatives of various business organizations at the state secretariat.
Banerjee said, ‘After the restrictions were imposed in West Bengal, there is a steady decrease in the new cases of Covid-19. The restaurant has been allowed to open conditionally for three hours from 5 pm to 8 pm, it will be mandatory for all the employees working there to get the anti-Covid vaccine.
However, no definite date has been announced yet regarding when the restaurant will be opened. The Chief Minister said that our government is considering the option of vaccinating domestic helpers in the same manner as it is planned to vaccinate hawkers, bus conductors, vendors and others.
Banerjee appealed to the people to actively participate in the Covid vaccination campaign, saying that till now 1.4 crore people of the state have got the anti-covid vaccine.
