The limit of registration in the Central Government’s web portal CoWIN for Coronavirus Vaccination was increased on Friday. With this change, now 6 members can be registered for corona vaccination from one mobile number. Till now only four members can registered with one phone number.
Apart from this, a new feature has also been added to the CoWin portal under which existing beneficiaries can change their vaccination status on their own. If they are fully vaccinated, half vaccinated or unvaccinated, then they can change its status themselves. According to an official release, the new updates that have been added to the Co-Win platform include-
- Registration on Co-Win: Instead of the existing limit of four members, now six members can register themselves on Co-Win using a single mobile number.
- Change the status of Corona Vaccination: A new feature has been added under the complaint “Raise an issue” in Co-Win. Through this new feature, a beneficiary can change his existing vaccination status. If a beneficiary is fully vaccinated or vaccinated with only one dose, he/she can modify his/her vaccination status as per his/her status.
This feature has been started so that the beneficiaries can correct their vaccination status on their own. However, it may take 3-7 days for these changes to be implemented. Because this issue has to be raised through online appeal from the portal itself. The government said that once the new vaccination feature is successfully updated, the beneficiaries can get their remaining doses administered at the nearby vaccination center as per the guidelines.
