Keeping in mind the cases of Coronavirus around the world, the Union Health Ministry has issued a revised guideline for international travelers. These guidelines will be effective from February 14. According to the new rules, passengers will now have the option to upload the vaccination certificate apart from uploading the RT-PCR negative report. The demarcation placed on ‘at risk’ and other designated countries has been removed.
This means that now travelers coming from these countries will not have to wait till the reports come by giving Covid samples. The government has now recommended a 14-day self-monitoring upon arrival in India. At the same time, the mandatory seven-day home-quarantine rule has been removed. The Health Ministry said that apart from uploading the negative RT-PCR report, there will be an option to upload the full vaccination certificate of Covid-19 vaccination.
