Omicron, a new variant of Corona found in South Africa, has now reached 38 countries of the world. In India too, two people infected with this new corona variant have been found. To curb this, the government has started taking precautions. The Union Health Secretary has expressed concern by writing a letter to six states regarding the danger of the omicron variant. These six states include Kerala, Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha and Mizoram.

The Health Ministry is concerned about the increasing cases of corona in these states. The Center has instructed the states to test, track, treat, vaccinate and ensure COVID appropriate behavior. The Health Ministry has expressed concern over the increasing death rate in Kerala and the increasing cases.
New cases of corona are increasing in four districts of Jammu and Kashmir. At the same time, there has been an increase in the number of corona infected in three districts of Tamil Nadu and four in Karnataka. Similar is the case with Odisha and Mizoram. The Health Ministry has expressed concern about the increase in new cases of corona in some districts here too.
