Read Harsh Vardhan response as Chattisgarh halt vaccination program

Countries around the world have shown interest in India’s corona vaccine. India has also provided Corona vaccine to many countries. But the governments of some states of the country are still raising questions about the credibility of Corona vaccine. Eliminating Chhattisgarh’s concerns over incomplete testing of the third phase of covaxine, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said on Thursday that both the Corona vaccines Covaxin and Covishield are safe and resistant.

Harshvardhan said that they should be used as soon as possible to reduce the effects of the epidemic. Earlier, Chhattisgarh Health Minister TS Singh Deo said that he has written a letter to Harsh Vardhan urging that India Biotech vaccine Covaxin should not be sent until the results of the test are completed. Dev also expressed concern over the expiry date not being written on the vaccine vials.

In response to the letter, Harsh Vardhan said that he has got the case investigated in the ministry as per the law and regulations and there is an urgent need for vaccine due to COVID-19 epidemic in the country, hence the Central Drug Standards and Control Organization (CDSCO) has released both vaccines. Production is approved. He said that the mention of ‘expiry date’ is on the label of the vaccine.

Suspicion of Covaxin revealed on the first day of vaccination
On January 16, on the very first day of the COVID-19 campaign in India, the ‘Resident Doctors Association’ (RDA) of the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi requested him to appoint a medical superintendent for the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine. The RDA had said in a letter to the medical superintendent that resident doctors had some doubts about Covaxin and that they would not take part in a large number of vaccination campaigns.
