Sadhguru Tips: Sadhguru, also known as Jaggi Vasudev, provides valuable ideas on managing internal danger in a society where cancer remains a serious health worry. In an interview with actor and cancer patient Manisha Koirala, Sadhguru makes a strong comparison between criminals in society and malignant cells, providing insight into how we may control and perhaps stop the disease from spreading throughout our bodies.
The Nature of Cancer
In his opening remarks, Sadhguru explains that each of the more than 100 billion cells that make up our body is programmed for both health and survival. But just as society produces its fair number of miscreants, so do our bodies, which include malignant cells that go awry. Cancer cells grow when the body’s defences are compromised, just like pickpockets do when there is no law enforcement. These cells are constantly present in our bodies, but Sadhguru emphasises that they pose a major hazard when they organise and concentrate in one region, creating potentially fatal conditions.
Strengthening the Body’s Defense
Sadhguru draws comparisons between cancer and crime in society, pointing out that just as crime thrives where law and order is lacking, so does cancer when our bodies’ defence mechanisms are undermined. He emphasises the significance of preserving a robust immune system, which serves as the body’s law enforcement, warding off internal dangers like cancer as well as exterior illnesses. Unfortunately, many of us unintentionally undermine this defence system by engaging in unhealthy lifestyle choices, such using stimulants and alcohol, which, as Sadhguru cautions, can impair the body’s defence mechanisms.
