World Aids Day 2024: On the occasion of World AIDS Day, a significant event was held in Indore in the presence of Union Minister J.P. Nadda and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The program underscored India's determination to eliminate AIDS by the year 2030.

    Union Minister Nadda reiterated India's commitment to achieving the global target of eradicating AIDS under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

    Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized the importance of awareness, testing, and treatment programs being implemented across the state to combat HIV/AIDS.

India's pledge to eliminate AIDS aligns with the 95-95-95 global strategy, which aims to:

  • Ensure 95% of people living with HIV know their status.
  • Provide treatment to 95% of diagnosed individuals.
  • Achieve viral suppression in 95% of those on treatment.

With sustained efforts in healthcare delivery, awareness campaigns, and community engagement, the country is making strides toward this ambitious goal.
