Hero Mavrick 440 details
Powertrain details
The same 440cc single-pot liquid-cooled engine that powers the Harley-Davidson X440 also powers the Mavrick 440. Hero must, however, adjust the engine to better fit the unique personality of the Mavrick.
The engine of the X440 produces a maximum power output of 27 bhp and a peak torque of 38 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.
Design details
The prototype presents a clear neo-retro aesthetic in spite of its disguise. There’s no denying Hero’s established design language with the circular headlamp featuring the iconic H-shaped DRL unit and LED lights. The overall cruiser style is given an aggressive touch by the short tank extensions, bar-end mirrors, and wide one-piece handlebar. Its upright riding position suggests a more adaptable style that will appeal to a wider range of riders.
Expected price in India
Since the launch is quickly approaching, we anticipate that Hero would price the Mavrick 440 somewhere around the sub-two lakh ex-showroom mark. The Royal Enfield Classic 350, Honda CB350, and H-D X440 are the bikes that the Maverick 440 will fight against.
