Hero Mavrick 440: Hero MotoCorp is getting ready to unveil a brand-new flagship vehicle modelled after the Harley Davidson X440. Mavrick is the official name of the new 440cc bike that the local bikemaker has confirmed. Hero has teased the same product on social media, disclosing both the title and the release date. Hero is planning to release their X440 version on January 23.
Hero Mavrick 440 Teased
According to the recently disclosed designs, the Mavrick 440 may have a neo-retro style to its exterior thanks to its round headlamp and what appears to be a daytime running light assembly. The Maverick 440’s upright handlebars provide a neutral riding position that would be ideal for both long rides and city commutes.
Along with a wide, one-piece seat that tapers towards the front of the bike, the designs also show some additional cushioning that may be added to the bike to make it more accessible to riders with shorter legs.
Powertrain details
The 440cc, oil-cooled, two-valve, SOHC engine that powers the Mavrick 440 produces a maximum torque of 38 Nm and 27 horsepower. A 5-speed gearbox is coupled to this engine. Hero Mavrick will face competition from the likes of the Harley Davidson V440, its own cousin, the Triumph Speed 400, and the Royal Enfield Classic 350 when it launches.
