Honda Benly E-scooter: It appears as though Honda is prepared to jump on board with the growing popularity of electric scooters in the Indian market. Here is the first occurrence of the same type with a green registration number after Honda was caught testing a new electric scooter called the Benly e with a test registration number last year.

This electric scooter was displayed at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2019. The target market for the electric scooter is revealed to be logistics and pick-up and delivery services. It has a twin-battery design. Each battery size has a capacity of 0.99 kWh. The two batteries can be switched out. This feature reduces the amount of time needed to charge electric vehicles and spares users from the inconvenience of needless waiting.
Variants and Specifications
The Benly e electric scooter is available in 4 trims globally. The Benly e I, Benly e I Pro, Benly e II, and Benly e II Pro. The scooters’ maximum range on a single charge is 87 kilometres, and their top speed is 60 km per hour. This electric scooter is reportedly being tested for swappable battery technology, though the business has not yet provided any details about it. It can be utilised by the company in its first electric scooter.
The base model from Honda comes with a 2.8 kW electric motor, while the more powerful models feature a 4.2 kW electric motor. All models come with two removable 48V batteries.
