Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has just sent the media a Block Your Date invitation for the introduction of a new model. The teaser indicates that the bike will be a premium offering and that it will be an ADV.
The launch will take place on August 19th, and the bike that will undoubtedly be launched is the NX200 (highly possible name).
A few months ago, the business trademarked the name NX200 in India, and since then, rumours about a powerful Hornet 2.0-based ADV have been spreading.
Let’s delve into the details of what the NX200 could be like now that Honda has left a strong hint about its coming.

The upcoming Honda bike will have a muscular fuel tank, split-style seats, a two-piece pillion grab rail, an upswept exhaust, and turn indicators integrated into the knuckle guards.
The bike should pack a digital instrument console, a full-LED setup for lighting, and will ride on designer 17-inch alloy wheels. It is likely to have a fuel storage capacity of 12-liter.
The upcoming Honda tourer is likely to be powered by a BS6-compliant 184.4cc, single-cylinder engine paired to a 5-speed gearbox. In Hornet 2.0, the mill makes 17.03hp of power at 8,500rpm and 16.1Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm.

The ADV is also expected to have the same hardware as its naked sibling; the suspension duties will be tended to by inverted forks with mono shocks while braking duties will be handled by 276 mm front and 220 mm rear petal disc brakes with single-channel ABS.
However, the company is likely to add long travel to the suspension setup to make it suitable for touring and mild-offroading.
Considering what this bike is likely to offer over and above the Hornet 2.0, expect it to cost around Rs 10,000 to 15,000 more than the naked street bike, which is currently priced at Rs 1.31 lakh. This will place it significantly higher than the Hero Xpulse (Rs 1.21 lakh), but also a lot lower than the KTM 250 Adventure, even at its discounted Rs 2.30 lakh price tag.
