Honda Super Cub: It is understandable that the Honda C105 Super Cub is still remembered today after selling more than 85 million units since its debut in 1958. And if you thought the Super Cub was a bike that only old riders’ hearts could be moved by, think again. Racing series that are specifically focused on Super Cubs are once again popular in Japan.
Modified Honda Super Cub
The speedo, which has been built into the brand-new composite body, is the only component that has not been changed from the original 1961 Firefly model. Deus abandoned the step-through design and switched to a strictly racing posture.
So, the team designed a quick-release mechanism for the headlight, taillight, and turn signals. Additionally, the mesh cover is easily removable for usage on the track.
Design
Deus expertly concealed the fuel tank, battery, ignition, and cabling under a custom monocoque body made of epoxy composite that was conceived and created. Both ends’ suspensions were modified with race-grade parts.
Authentic Super Cub hubs were polished nearly to a mirror shine before being mounted in DID rims with unique spokes. Also, the braking system was improved, and the master of local upholstery.
Engine and performance
The Super Cub went from a 49cc to a 60cc engine since the racing regulations permit a 20% increase in displacement. Deus does not disclose any technical information regarding this tiny beast, but the engine is still the 4-stroke, three-speed OVH unit.
