Honda to launch a new bike on 2nd August, all we know so far

Honda: On August 2, 2023, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India will add a new item to their lineup. Although the specifics of this new product are unknown, individuals familiar with its development claim that it will compete in the Indian market’s 150-180cc motorcycle class. A 162.7cc and an 184.4cc engine are the only ones the business currently offers in this displacement class. In contrast to the CB Hornet 2.0, the Honda Unicorn 160 is powered by the former.

The Bajaj Pulsar N160, Hero Xtreme 160R 4V, and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, to name just a few motorcycles, are all extremely competitive in the 160 cc motorcycle market in India. With a 162 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, Honda already sells the X-Blade and the Unicorn in this market segment. The same engine, which now produces 13.27 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 14.59 Nm at 5,500 rpm, will most likely be found in the new SP 160.

Expect the new motorcycle to include similar bike components like a telescopic fork up front and a mono-shock in the back. It’s likely that the new bike will come equipped with a disc brake. Like Honda’s past two 160 cc motorcycles, we anticipate the new SP 160 to have a similar set of features.

Expected Price in India

The starting price for this new motorcycle is anticipated to be around the Rs. 1.05-1.15 lakh (ex-showroom) range, which will place it between the Honda Unicorn 160 and the CB Hornet 2.0.
