Honda to likely unveil their EV plans for India on 29th March, can also debut the latest Ativa 6G, all we know so far

Honda: On March 29, 2023, Honda Motorbike and Scooter India (HMSI) will announce its plans for the Indian market’s electrification. By March 2024, Honda will launch its first EV, which is most likely an electric scooter based on the Activa.

Honda electric scooter

Honda’s first EV for the Indian market is being developed in partnership with its Japanese team, according to MD and CEO Atsushi Ogata of the Honda Company. It will be a product made specifically for India based on the Activa 6G and produced at the business’ Manesar plant in Haryana.

Honda Activa EV is a straightforward mass-market scooter. Its electric powertrain will be mounted onto the current Activa 6G platform.  The battery capacity and range per charge have not yet been disclosed by the firm.

According to the company, the Honda Activa 6G will get a digital display as the first major upgrade, and Bluetooth connectivity as the second. Ogata revealed that the keyless technology featured in the recently unveiled Activa H Smart Edition had received a better reception from customers than anticipated in a media interview. After being inspired by the response, Honda is getting ready to enhance the scooter even more.
