Hyundai Cars: People are now becoming aware of having safety features in their cars. Several automakers are also offering high end safety feature in their vehicle. The time has gone when car in India equipped only two airbags in the front. With the new initiatives like improved vehicle safety regulations and Bharat NCAP crash tests, the safety parameters have been pushed higher by the authorities. Complying with all these regulations, Hyundai has annouced that now the company will offer 6 airbags as a standard feature in all their products iin India. Check full story to get into more detalls.
Hyundai’s “Safer Cars for India” Campaign
Hyundai has emphasized on offering airbags to reduces the severity of any mishappening on the road. Indian regulatory authorities have also made it mandatory for automakers to offer 6 airbags in the 8 seater vehicles, but crossing the bar the Japenese automaker, Hyundai gone a step further announcing to offer 6 airbags as a standard feature in all its offerings.
Even though Hyundai don’t offfer 6 airbags in the standard models of Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Hyundai Venue and Hyundai Aura. But now the automaker will offer 6 airbags in these models too. Recently, Hyundai Verna has scored 5 star rating in the Global NCAP crash test which also gets 6 airabags as a standard feature.
The Hyndai’s safety journey started with iONIQ 5 which provides 6 airbags as a standard offering. The brand’s popular products like Creta and Alacazar got 6 airbags as a standard in Feb 2023. Whereas, the Hyundai Aura and Grand i10 Nios still come eith 4 airbags, but they are also near to receive 6 airbags as a standard feature.
In the march this year, the company offered the updated Verna with 6 airbags and later added ADAS Level 2 in April 2023 in the vehicle. Later, the automaker added 6 airbags as a standard in the Hyundai Exter which was followed by i20 and Venue.
