Hyundai Creta: Our sources indicate that Hyundai Motor India would introduce the new Creta in India in 2024. The SUV was introduced to the Indian market in 2015, however a new generation was introduced in 2020.
But a clear timeline of the launch and availability is not available as of now. The Creta has been sold more than 7,60,000 times domestically by the South Korean automaker’s Indian subsidiary and more than 2,59,000 times abroad.
With sales of 1,80,237 units in 2020 and 2,52,586 in 2021, Hyundai was India’s top-selling SUV brand thanks to the Creta’s outstanding performance.
The Hyundai Creta is currently a competitor in the country’s most competitive passenger vehicle (PV) class, which includes models like the Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, and MG Astor.
Diesel version is more popular
Numerous engine and gearbox options are available for the Creta, including the 1.5-liter MPi petrol with 6MT or IVT, 1.5-liter U2 CRDi diesel with 6MT or 6AT, and the 1.4-liter Kappa T-GDi petrol with 7DCT.

Over 60% of the Creta’s sales come from the diesel versions, while over 20% come from the automatic versions. Price ranges for the Hyundai Creta range from Rs 10.44 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) to Rs 18.24 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
