Hyundai Exter Gets Indian Car Of The Year Award; Check Others

ICOTY 2024: This year witnessed the launch of some great vehicles in India and it was an exciting year for auto enthusiasts. Due to this much competition, there were so many contenders for the ICOTY 2024. After deeply analyzing the merits and demerits of each contender, jury members have announced the winners across categories. Hyundai Exter has snatched the Indian Car Of The Year award giving hard competition to its rivals such as Maruti Jimny and Honda Elevate. Check other category winners below. 

Hyundai Exter Gets ICOTY 2024

Despite being a newly launched product, Hyundai Exter has received the Indian Car of The Year Award. The car took great advantage of its entry into a new segment. Yes, we are talking about the Hyundai Exter Micro SUV. The micro SUV comes based on the same platform as the Grand i10 Nios. Apart from the Exter’s victory, the first runner-up was the Maruti Jimny and the second runner-up in ICOTY 2024 was Honda Elevate and Toyota Hycross. Other contenders in the same category were MG Comet EV and Hyundai Verna. 

Hyundai Ioniq 5: Green Car Of The Year 

Hyundai has dominated the ICOTY 2024 by giving a run to other contenders across categories. Hyundai Ioniq 5 emerged as a winner in the Green Car Of The Year category. The Electric crossover was launched at Auto Expo in January this year. The automaker has already sold around 1000 units of electric crossovers. The other contenders in the same category were the MG Comet EV and BMW i7, Mahindra XUV400, BYD Atto 3 and Volvo C40 Recharge.

BMW 7 Series: Premium Car Of The Year

BMW 7 Series has picked up the Premium Car Of The Year Award as the vehicle comes with a lot of premium features inside and out. The premium sedan boasts a luxurious cabin. Apart from the category winner, the Mercedes Benz GLC mid-size SUV has emerged as the first runner-up and the BMW X1 was the second runner-up in the same category.
