Hyundai Exter: With a starting price of Rs 5.99 lakh, Hyundai has introduced the Exter mini SUV in India. Priced at Rs. 9.3 lakh for the top-end model and Rs. 8.2 lakh for the CNG model, respectively. The Hyundai Exter is both the entry-level SUV in its lineup and follows the Venue below it. Hyundai Exter powertrain details
Hyundai Exter will be available from HMI in 5 trim levels: EX, S, SX, SX(O), and SX(O) Connect. Another new colouring option for the SUV is “Ranger Khaki.” The Hyundai Exter has 3 available powertrains: a 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine (E20 Fuel Ready) with a 5-speed manual gearbox (5MT), a Smart Auto AMT (Automated Manual gearbox), and a 1.2-litre Bi-fuel Kappa petrol and CNG engine with a 5-speed manual transmission.
Interior Details
The Exter has features that no other SUV in its class has, including a single-pane sunroof that can be activated by voice commands and a dashcam. Other features include OTA updates, automated climate control, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, voice controls, footwell light, linked car technology, and 6 airbags as standard.
In terms of the interior, the car shares a similar layout with the Aura or Nios and has an 8-inch touchscreen in addition to the same pattern dashboard. A digital instrument cluster like the i20 is also included for the Exter.
Design details
The Hyundai Exter is 1631 mm tall and has a 2450 mm wheelbase. Sporty semi-leatherette upholstery with ‘Exter’ branding gives the SUV an extra touch of distinction. Hyundai Exter maximises vision for rear passengers with a big DLO (Day-Light Opening) and excellent rear window glass size.
Diamond Cut Alloy wheels with blacked-out wheel arches and side sill sculpting enhance this SUV’s rugged appearance and further emphasise the dynamic side. The floating roof design of the Hyundai Exter, together with the C-Pillar garnish in a parametric design and the sporty bridge-style Roof Rails, perfectly captures the youthful and contemporary aura of this SUV.
In order to emphasise this SUV’s contemporary attractiveness, the Exter has a prominent-looking Parametric Front Grille. The remarkable SUV design is accentuated with H-Signature LED DRLs, Projector Headlamps, and Sporty Skid Plate, and the distinctive Exter insignia on the front emphasises this SUV’s personalised attractiveness.
