The Grand i10, Nios, Aura, i20, and Venue all have 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engines; the Exter will be able to get one as well. Even though the Exter’s output hasn’t been disclosed by the manufacturer, anticipate it to produce a similar 83 horsepower and 114 Nm of torque. Hyundai has also announced that the engine will be paired with either an AMT or a 5-speed manual transmission. Hyundai will introduce the Exter with a factory-installed CNG kit, much like it does with the Nios and the Aura. The Exter really shares a platform and foundation with the latter two.

Features and Design

This model features a parametric grille, C pillar, projector headlamps, and LED DRLs in addition to the parametric design found on the rest of Hyundai’s vehicles. To offer an SUV aspect in its design, features like skid plates and roof rails have also been added. By glancing at the picture, it is possible to assume that Exeter provided diamond-cut alloy wheels, which provide good ground clearance. Though its interior specifications have not yet been made public, we may expect to see many technologies like a touchscreen, wireless charging, connected car technology, and a rearview camera. Furthermore, the top-end model is anticipated to come with six airbags.

Expected launch in India

This new vehicle, which will be Hyundai’s entry-level vehicle, can be introduced in August.
