A 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed automatic manual gearbox is available for the 1.2-litre petrol engine (83PS/114Nm) in the Hyundai Exter. Additionally, a 1.2-litre petrol-CNG engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox (69 PS/95 Nm) is available.
In India, the i20 has three engine choices. They consist of two petrol and one diesel. The latter is a 1.5-litre turbo engine renowned for its powerful and sprightly performance. It is coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox and produces 100 Hp and 240 Nm of torque. On the petrol front, you got a 1200cc non-turbo engine that produces 88 PS with the IVT (CVT) automatic transmission and 83 PS with the MT manual.
The maximum torque of 115 Nm is the same for both gearbox configurations. A 1000cc turbo engine with 120 Hp and 172 Nm of torque makes up the other petrol engine. This is available with both a 7-speed DCT automatic and an iMT system.

The Hyundai Exter compact SUV will be the first sub-4 metre SUV in the country to include six airbags. Side, curtain, and driver airbags will be standard on all Exter trim levels. The Exeter’s E and S entry-level trims will also receive about 26 more safety features, such as ESC (Electronic Stability Control), VSM (Vehicle Stability Management), HAC (Hill Assist Control), and 3-point seat belts for every seat. Further choices include seatbelt reminders for dashcams, ABS with EBD, burglar alarms, dual cameras, TPMS, ISOFIX, headlamp escort features, rear parking cameras, etc.
With a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an air purifier, linked car technology, auto LED lighting, and a sunroof, the premium hatchback from Hyundai is well-equipped. It comes with up to six airbags, electronic stability control, rear parking sensors, and a rearview camera.

Hyundai Exter’s price ranges from Rs. 6 Lakh to Rs. 10.10 Lakh.
Hyundai I20 costs between Rs. 7.19 Lakh and Rs. 12.27 Lakh in India. The Hyundai i20 comes in a range of models, with the 1.2 Petrol Magna MT starting at 7.19 lakh and the 1.0 Turbo Petrol Asta(O) DCT A/T Dual Tone hitting 12.27 lakh.
