Engine details

The Grand i10, Nios, Aura, i20, and Venue all have 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engines; the Exter will be able to get one as well. Even though the Exter’s output hasn’t been disclosed by the manufacturer, anticipate it to produce a similar 83 horsepower and 114 Nm of torque. Hyundai has also announced that the engine will be paired with either an AMT or a 5-speed manual transmission. Hyundai will introduce the Exter with a factory-installed CNG kit, much like it does with the Nios and the Aura. The Exter really shares a platform and foundation with the latter two.

The carmaker’s 1.2-litre petrol engine, producing 86PS and 113Nm, is what powers the Tata Punch. This engine has been modified to comply with RDE requirements and can even run on E20 fuel (containing 20% ethanol). An AMT or a 5-speed manual gearbox are available for the SUV. The manual model has a fuel economy rating of 20.09 kmpl, while the AMT achieves 18.8 kmpl.

Features

The Exter features a parametric grille, C pillar, projector headlamps, and LED DRLs in addition to the parametric design found on the rest of Hyundai’s vehicles. To offer an SUV aspect in its design, features like skid plates and roof rails have also been added. By glancing at the picture, it is possible to assume that Exeter provided diamond-cut alloy wheels, which provide good ground clearance. Though its interior specifications have not yet been made public, we may expect to see many technologies like a touchscreen, wireless charging, connected car technology, and a rearview camera. Furthermore, the top-end model is anticipated to come with six airbags.

A seven-inch touchscreen, a semi-digital instrument panel, automated climate control, automatic headlamps, linked car technologies, and cruise control are all included in the Punch. It is equipped with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear defoggers, rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, and ISOFIX anchors for child safety.

Price in India

The price for the Exter is unknown right now.

Punch pricing begins at Rs. 5.99 Lakh. Punch has 8 different colour options and 27 variants.
