Hyundai N: The N performance division of Hyundai may soon begin offering carbon fibre wheel options on its cars, according to media sources. According to reports, the automaker has teamed up with Dymag Wheels to offer carbon-hybrid wheels for upcoming models from the Hyundai N division.
Hyundai N cars to get carbon fibre wheel option
The wheel was created and developed by the South Korean company and features a hybrid structure that combines a carbon fibre outer rim with a forged metallic centre component. By doing this, the engineers were able to reduce the weight of a standard alloy wheel of the same size by anywhere from 40 to 50%. In addition to being significantly lighter, these wheels are stiffer, stronger, and have less rolling inertia.
They will be made available for further performance cars that are a part of the expanding N lineup, according to Hyundai. With the help of other automakers, Dymag has created a variety of carbon hybrid wheels ranging in size from 18 to 23 inches. Later this year, even larger sets of 24- and 25-inch wheels will be released.
The exact launch date for the carbon wheels has not yet been disclosed. Reports do, however, indicate that the Ioniq 5 N might be the first device to offer the choice. The next Ioniq 6 N model might also have carbon fibre wheels.
