Health Ministry advises all the States to increase Covid testing when Covid-19 cases are low

Marking the decline in the number of tests for Covid-19 in many states and union territories, the center on Monday asked them to increase the investigation.

So that the spread of the epidemic can be effectively monitored and then focused action can be initiated. Writing a letter to the states and union territories, Arti Ahuja, Additional Secretary in the Union Health Ministry, has advised the states to pay immediate attention to this aspect and increase the investigation in a strategic manner keeping in mind the increasing positive cases in specific areas.

In the letter, Arti Ahuja has emphasized that Omicron is spreading across the Country. The Ministry of Home Affairs to prepare a comprehensive roadmap for epidemic management, Ahuja said that conducting an investigation is an important part. Apart from this, she said in the letter that although it has been seen from the data available on the ICMR portal that there has been a decline in the investigation in many states and union territories.

In the letter, Arti Ahuja wrote that the advisory needs to grow in the line with the earlier guidelines and advisories of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. There should be a strategic and focused investigation.
