Air India aircraft AI-1943 has reached Bucharest to bring back Indian students stranded in Ukraine. Today at around 07:30 pm, the flight carrying the students will reach Mumbai Airport. After reaching Mumbai, students will have to show their Covid Vaccinated Certificate.
According to the information, those returning from Ukraine will have to show the Covid Vaccinated Certificate after reaching India. If a student does not have a vaccination certificate, then they can also show the RT-PCR negative report. In case of none of these two, the student’s covid test will be done at the airport itself.
Mumbai airport will bear the cost of RT-PCR Covid test at the airport. Students will be allowed to go out only when the Covid test report comes negative. If the report of a student comes positive, then under the Corona guidelines, it will be sent after further investigation and clinically managed.
Apart from this, people who have not got the vaccine or who do not have a negative report of Covid. They will also be allowed to upload documents on the Air Suvidha Portal before traveling. Such passengers can enter the airport. This decision was taken on humanitarian grounds.
It is worth noting that at present there are about 20,000 Indians stranded in Ukraine, mostly students. 470 Indian students from Ukraine will reach India via Romania. An Air India plane will reach Mumbai at 7:30 pm.
