Hezbollah Claims Destruction of Israeli Tanks
Hezbollah, widely considered one of the most formidable non-state military groups in the region, claimed responsibility for destroying three Israeli Merkava tanks during the fierce fighting on Wednesday. The group stated that the tanks were advancing toward the village of Maroun al-Ras near the Lebanese border when they were hit.
While the Israeli military did not confirm the tank losses, IDF sources stated that their ground troops, supported by airstrikes, had killed Hezbollah fighters during close-range encounters. The escalating conflict adds to the tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, further destabilizing the region.
