On Monday, terrorists opened fire on a shopkeeper of a Kashmiri Pandit and injured him in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. The officers provided this information. In the terrorist attack, Bal Krishna of Chotigam village of Shopian suffered injuries on his hands and feet. After which he was taken to a military hospital in Srinagar where doctors declared his condition stable.
Officials said that the army and policemen were sent to the village after getting information about the attack on a Kashmir Pandit shopkeeper.
Earlier, terrorists opened fire on CRPF jawans in Maisuma area of Srinagar, in which one jawan was martyred and another was injured. A search operation was started for the attackers by cordoning off the area.
Condemning the attack, National Conference’s Omar Abdullah tweeted, “I offer my condolences to the family of the CRPF jawan who died in the line of duty.”
While PDP President Mehbooba Mufti tweeted: “This afternoon CRPF jawans in Maisuma Condemn the attack. The families of those killed by this senseless violence get nothing but grief. My condolences to the family and prayers for the injured.”
The JK Pradesh Congress Committee and its own party also condemned the killing of the CRPF jawans. The attack on CRPF jawans came hours after two migrant workers were shot dead in Pulwama. “Both the injured were taken to the hospital. The area has been cordoned off,” police said.
