Today, the auspicious time of Krishna Janmashtami is from 11:59 P.M. to 12:44 P.M. at night. The total duration is 45 minutes. Kanha showers special blessings by worshiping in the auspicious time. At the same time, the time of fasting is after 5:57 A.M. on 31st August.

Shri Krishna’s mantra to get rid of sufferings
While worshipping Lord Krishna, chant this mantra ‘Krin Krishnay Namah'(कृं कृष्णाय नम:). This mantra should be chanted at least one hundred and eight times. According to the belief, this mantra gives freedom from all troubles. Apart from this, there is another mantra which is Shri Krishna Mantra with 7 letters ‘Govallabhai Swaha'(गोवल्लभाय स्वाहा). By chanting this mantra, the seeker gets complete accomplishments.
Kanha’s Adornment
On the day of Janmashtami, Lord Krishna is adorned all over the world. On this day Jhakis are decorated in honor of Krishna Avatar and Krishna is adorned with a swing. A lot of flowers are used in the decoration of Lord Shri Krishna. Adorn them with yellow clothes, Gopi sandalwood and fragrance of sandalwood. Do not use black color in this pooja. It is best to offer Vaijayanti flowers to Krishna ji.
