Jawan Audio Launch: The most anticipated film of the year is just a week away from hitting the theatres. It has been causing huge tremors ever since the first announcement of its release. Yesterday, the film officially launched its audio, and the event was held at Sai Ram Engineering College, Chennai. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan became nostalgic while delivering his speech at the event, recalling the making of his first Tamil movie ‘Dil Se’ and how he fell in love with Tamil cinema.
Shah Rukh Khan’s love for Tamil Cinema
The global fame Shah Rukh Khan couldn’t stop praising the entire Tamil film industry during the audio launch of Jawan. He opened up about how he first fell in love with Tamil cinema. During his speech, he said, “Quickly I tell you how I started falling in love with Tamil cinema. Very early on I understood that some of the finest cinemas come from Tamil Nadu and I was very lucky to make two friends, one was Mani Ratnam and one was Mr. Santosh Sivan.” He went on to describe his first experience in Tamil cinema while shooting ‘Dil Se,’ the movie that produced the hit item song “Chaiya Chaiya.” With reference to ‘Dil Se,’ the actor said, “I came down here and shot Dil Se which was my first experience of a Tamil film and of course (making steps of Chaiyya Chaiyya) ‘chal chaiyya chaiyya’ then I got to know wonderful Mr. Kamal Haasan and I worked with him, for him in a film called Hey Ram and that was the first and last time I have ever spoken Tamil because I spoken Tamil in that film. And then, the greatest of the all became my friend by coming over one night and doing one shot for my film Ravan, the great Rajinikanth.”
Shah Rukh Khan learns from Tamil Cinema
The world knows SRK as a mega star who is widely acclaimed. However, he is also a very humble human being and never misses an opportunity to learn from his co-workers. In the grand audio launch event of Jawan held in Chennai, Shah Rukh Khan spoke about his love for Tamil cinema while delivering his speech. While praising the entire team behind the film, the actor confessed before the audience, “I just want to tell everyone from the Tamil film industry who has worked in Jawan, that I have only come here to learn from you, and take that learning and present in front of all the Tamilian audience here, to tell you how much I’ve learned and if you can appreciate the teachings of this great team of Jawan to me.”
The fans can’t wait now more than ever to watch the most awaited movie. Watch it on 7th September at a theatre near you.
