Jharkhand New Tourism Policy: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Saturday launched the state’s new tourism policy at FICCI Auditorium in Delhi. In a special event, CM Hemant has invited outside investors for the development of tourist places in the state.
During this, he said, ‘Jharkhand’s water, forests, mountains, waterfalls, rivers have immense potential from the point of view of tourism. In such a situation, all the players who come for investment in the state will be given a special package under the policy of ‘first come-first serve’.
Youth will get employment from tourism
CM Hemant Soren said that as much as our state is rich within the land, it is also on it. There are many such places in Jharkhand, which are like Shimla, Kullu and Manali. These areas are being protected. The government is moving in the direction of developing them as tourism hubs. This will give employment to the youth in the state.
This will stop migration to rural areas and the economic condition of the local people will also improve.
Mining tourism also has potential
Regarding mining tourism, CM Hemant Soren said that possibilities are being explored in this area as well. Tilaiya, Masanjor, Chandil, Patratu, Getalsud, Kanke and Hatia dams will be developed for water sports in the state. Work is also going on in the state for weekend getaway tourism.
A promo of Postcard of Jharkhand was also launched on this occasion. During this, the visitors who arrived at the event were also introduced to the journey of natural scenery and culture of Jharkhand state.
Know what is the new policy?
Under this new policy, emphasis will be laid on attracting private investment in the tourism sector of Jharkhand. At the same time, investment related incentives will be paid through single window system.
A subsidy of 20 to 25 percent or up to a maximum of 10 crores will also be given on investment in Jharkhand. At the same time, holding tax will also not be charged for the first five years. Apart from this, the state government will also pay the stamp duty.
During this work, Economic Zone, Development Board and Tourism Development Authority will be formed in the state.
