In the year 1986, targeting the peace-loving Hindu community in Kashmir by calling them Indian spies and infidels was started. This series came on a boom in the year 1989 at that time. When Kashmiri Hindus were threatened to flee the valley or be ready to die, when announcements were made from loudspeakers at mosques in Kashmir.
In order to create fear, Kashmiri Hindus living in different districts of the valley were selectively killed. Those who killed him were none other than Muslim friends living in the neighborhood, Muslim students studying in schools. Seeing the massacre from all around, about 1.5 lakh Kashmiri Hindu families left the valley and fled to the rest of the country including Jammu and Delhi in a single night. After that their properties were occupied by their rioting neighbors.
