Kia EV 3: Kia has recently unveiled the concepts of its upcoming EVs, the company has diplayed the concept in the official “EV Day Event”. The car manufacturer showcased three models in the event. One of which was Kia EV 3 concept, although the brand has not revealead any feature related details, but taking a clue from the displayed version, we can get a decent idea of how the production model of the Electric SUV.
The upcoming Electric SUV is expected to be based on Hyundai’s E-GMP platform, EV3 can have a similar design as MG ZS EV.
Kia EV3 Concept: Design Language
As far as the design is concerned, EV3 Concept seems to be a smaller version of EV5 and EV9 (Upcoming). The Electric SUV features a different “Digital Tiger face”. At the front, it gets a sleeker LED lights and a unique bumper design . EV3 concept was displayed with a blacked out A and B Pillars. The roofline is little bit inclined downwards to the back. At the rear end, LED taillights of vehicle extends into three different sides. C-Pillar of the concept gets a black insert which is aimed to connect rear window with the windscreen at the back.
Kia EV3 Concept: Interiors
As of the interiors, the car gets a two-screen setup with no physical controls at the dashboard . Both instrument cluster and central touchscreen comes combined with each other. The unique shaped steering wheel comes with Kia name placed to the right, which seems to be a common design element for all the Kia’s upcoming vehicle.
Kia EV3: Powertrain
The Electric SUV is expected to be offered in atleast two battery options coupled with a single and dual motor options. The vehicle is expected to churn out 200 to 300 bhp of power. The EV SUV is also expected to have a top range GT model.
Kia EV3: Launch Timeline
The company is expected to showcase the production version of the Electric SUV in the first half of the next year. The launch is expected to happen somewhere in the end of 2024.
