Kia EV4: The Kia EV4 hasn’t received much publicity since it was first revealed in 2021, but new spy images suggest that the compact electric SUV could make an appearance soon. The Instagram account Shorts Car saw the prototype being tested in South Korea.
Kia EV4 spied
The unidentified prototype appears to be in line with unclear pictures of a smaller electric SUV that Kia revealed in early 2021, adopting a boxy, upright stance and taking design ideas from the EV6 and EV9 electric vehicles.
These spy shots appear to show the test car with the same prominent kink at the top of the C-pillar behind the rear doors that can be seen on the car in the 2021 teaser image.
Expected specs
The future EV4 is anticipated to ride on the dedicated E-GMP architecture, just like all the new zero-emission cars from Hyundai and Kia. With the use of this platform, the crossover will be able to use the 58 kWh and 77.4 kWh battery pack options from the larger EV6, giving it a competitive range. The entry-level EV6’s single electric motor, which generates 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque and 168 horsepower (125 kW / 170 PS) sounds like it would be a wonderful fit for the market.
Expected Features
Like the Kia Sportage, the interior of the Kia EV4 is anticipated to include a digital cockpit with twin screens integrated into a single panel. Like many of its competitors in this market, the company might also use eco-friendly materials for the upholstery. Additionally, the EV4’s electric platform will permit for comparable interior room despite having a smaller footprint than some of its rivals, making effective use of the available space.
