All about the Kia Niro

The Niro hybrid made its debut at the 2016 Chicago Auto Show, and the plug-in hybrid model debuted at the 2017 Geneva Auto Show. A year later, the South Korean automaker showed off the EV at the 2018 Auto Expo. Nonetheless, the vehicle is offered in hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions. The 1.6-litre engine and the 44.5kQ electric motor are both included in the KIA Niro Plug-in Hybrid’s specifications. The total output of the petrol engine and the electric battery is 141 horsepower, while 265 nm of torque is generated. It has a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission to send power to the front wheels.

The 8.9kWh Li-Polymer battery in the KIA Niro Plug-in Hybrid is said to provide a 58km all-electric driving range. A full charge requires two hours and fifteen minutes. The combined range of the petrol and battery pack is remarkable at 840 km. The plug-in hybrid powertrain, on the other hand, offers a fuel efficiency of 18.6 km/l.
