Land Rover has begun accepting bookings for the all-new Range Rover SUV in India with prices starting from Rs 2.31 crore (ex-showroom, India).
The new-gen Range Rover will be available in four variants — SE, HSE, Autobiography, and First Edition — of which the First Edition variant will be available for one year only. It will be based on the Autobiography trim and will get some bespoke options.
The SUV will be available in standard as well as the long-wheelbase variants where the latter will also have the seven-seater option.
2022 Range Rover stands more than 5 metres in length, which extends up to 5.25 metres in the long wheelbase version, 2.20 metres in width, 1.87 metres in height, with a wheelbase of almost 3 metres which goes up to 3.19 metres in the long wheelbase version.
One of the biggest exterior highlights of the new Range Rover is the sizeable gloss black panel at the rear, incorporating vertical brake lights at the side and indicators in a bar across the top, all of which are invisible when not in use.
The tail-lights are said to use the most powerful LEDs in existence, while at the front, each headlight cluster contains about 1.2 million individual mirrors that reflect light from a rear-mounted mirror.
Rohit Suri, President and Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India, said: “The Range Rover sits at the pinnacle of luxury SUVs in India and the new fifth generation Range Rover ups the desirability quotient significantly higher.”
