Lexus: The Japanese luxury automobile manufacturer Lexus intends to start selling used (second-hand) cars in India the following year. The business has now run successfully in the Indian market for six years. Currently, 23 sales centres are used to distribute this company’s cars. The business plans to make adjustments to some of its locations so it may enter the used automobile market. Also, Lexus, which is renowned for its self-charging hybrid vehicles, plans to release its first electric model in the nation by 2025.
Company’s new plan
Lexus is seriously exploring a structured pre-owned used car strategy, according to Naveen Soni, president of Lexus India. According to him, the corporation will launch this operation in a few specific locations depending on the dealer partners’ ability to make a profit. We will start this, according to Soni, possibly at the beginning of the following year or in the third quarter of the present one. He explained that the business began selling cars in the nation six years ago, and that some clients may now want to trade in their old car and get a new one. Thus, we are able to temporarily transform some centres into used car dealerships.
Lexus to launch its first EV by 2025
Regarding their electric vehicle (EV) approach, Soni revealed that Lexus had released a few EVs last year in order to test them in various climatic circumstances and gather useful customer feedback. According to this data, the company intends to introduce its first EV product in India by 2025. By committing to being all-electric by 2035, Lexus, a division of the Toyota Group, has been chosen as the company’s main brand to lead the transition to electric technology.
