Lucknow’s Hotel Levana to be demolished after fire took 4 lives

Four people have died in the fire at the Levana Suites Hotel in Hazratganj, Lucknow. At the same time, the owners of Levana, Rahul Agarwal and Rohit Agarwal have been detained by the Lucknow Police for questioning. Along with this, an order to demolish this hotel has also been issued.

There is a discussion that bulldozers can also run on the hotel soon. Commissioner Roshan Jacob gave these orders.

According to the order, the hotel was built without passing the map and was running for about 10 years. Notices were also issued twice on 26 May and 28 August 2022 regarding not passing the map to this hotel.

According to the information, a fire broke out in the hotel on Monday morning. After this the rescue work started and most of the 40 people staying in the hotel have been rescued. However, four people died due to fire and smoke. Four policemen involved in the rescue work were admitted to the Civil Hospital in a serious condition. It is being told that the hotel operators did not even take the NOC of the fire department.

JCP Crime Piyush Mordia said that while extinguishing the fire in Hotel Levan, seven fire personnel also fainted due to smoke. All have been admitted for treatment. At the same time, 24 people have been safely evacuated from the hotel in the fire.

Officers will come under investigation

Commissioner Roshan Jacob has also ordered an inquiry into the Hotel Lovana fire. In this, even if the map of the hotel is not passed, the responsible officers who do not stop the operation will be investigated. After this, action will be decided on all the accused involved in this.
