M&M Sales: Mahindra has released its sales data for December 2023 today. India’s largest SUV manufacturer has recorded a growth of 6 per cent YoY growth with sales of 60188 units in December 2023 when compared to the sales of 56677 units in the same period in 2022. M&M Segmentwise Sales December 2023
Mahindra & Mahindra has recorded 24 per cent in Passenger Vehicle sales by selling 35174 units in December 2023 when compared to the sales of 28445 units in December 2022.
Talking about the Utility Vehicles, the automaker has recorded a growth of 24 per cent with sales of 35171 vehicles domestically in December 2023. Including exports, Mahindra & Mahindra sold a total of 36349 utility vehicles in December 2023. The commercial vehicles sales of Mahindra & Mahindra stood at 17888 units
On the other hand, Mahindra & Mahindra Farm Equipment sold a total of 19138 tractors in December 2023 as compared to the sales of 23243 units in December 2022, resulting in a decline of almost 18 per cent in the segment.
What Official Said
“In December, we sold a total of 35,171 SUVs, a healthy growth of 24% over last year. We continued to face some supply challenges on select parts. We are working closely with our suppliers to mitigate these challenges going forward,” said Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd.
“Retail momentum slowed down on account of tapering of agricultural activities, which is the norm in the month of December. Announcement of higher horticulture production and continued Government support to the agri sector are expected to support tractor demand,” said Hemant Sikka, President – Farm Equipment Sector, M&M.
