Mahindra Scorpio N: The Mahindra Scorpio N’s lower Z4 model is once again being produced in the automaker’s Chakan plant, which is close to Pune. This suggests that Scorpio-N manufacturing is back on schedule, and Mahindra appears to have moved through its supply chain problems. It’s also expected that Z8 trim production will resume the following month, which should significantly shorten wait periods for the SUV that is in high demand. Mahindra has not yet specified when Scorpio-N reservations would open again.
The Z4 trim is one of the Scorpio N’s economical trims, yet it may also be one of the most popular because it combines a respectable equipment list with a powerful engine. The 2.2-litre mHawk turbodiesel engine in the Z2 base diesel trim is tuned to produce 130 bhp and 300 nm, whereas the same engine produces 172 bhp and 370 nm in the Z4 trim. The gearbox, a 6-speed manual, is the same in both grades. Rear-wheel drive is available on the Z2 and Z4 diesel models. With higher diesel trims, a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox is an option. The pricing of the Z4 Diesel in Delhi is Rs. 16.87 lakh.

Mahindra has made no effort to hide the Scorpio N’s positioning as an upscale ladder-frame SUV with exceptional off-road capability.
Who should go for the Scorpio N?
Anyone looking for a robust SUV that can handle all the Indian roads can throw at it and has an excellent street presence. The Scorpio N targets market includes people who seek a Fortuner-like street presence at a significantly lesser cost and with a lot more amenities and comforts. The Scorpio-N is priced similarly to the top-tier XUV700, but the two SUVs have completely different personalities. The Scorpio-N is the tougher of the two, while the XUV700 is the classier choice.
