Mahindra Scorpio-N: Mahindra has raised the costs for the Scorpio-N just over six months after its introduction. The price of the new Scorpio, which has replaced the Scorpio Classic, has increased by Rs 15,000 to Rs 1.01 lakh. The new prices with the increases across the whole Scorpio-N range are in effect now.
How much have the prices increased?
The price increase introduced by Mahindra starts with the Scorpio-petrol-powered N’s models and spans from Rs 15,000 to Rs 75,000. Z2 MT, Z2 E MT, Z4 MT, Z4 E MT, and Z4 AT, all of which are now more expensive by Rs 75,000, have borne the brunt of the price increase the most. The Z8 MT and Z8 AT are now Rs 65,000 more expensive than they were previously, but the Z8 L MT is now up to Rs 55,000 more expensive. The Z8 L AT model is subject to the most recent price increase of Rs 15,000.
Regarding the Mahindra Scorpio-diesel-powered N’s models, the Z2 MT, Z2 E MT, Z4 MT, Z4 E MT, Z4 AT, Z4 MT 4WD, and Z4 E MT 4WD cost an additional Rs 75,000. The Z6 and Z8 variants are Rs 65,000 more expensive in the petrol and automatic versions, and the Z8 AT 4WD is similarly more expensive. The Z8 MT 4WD, meanwhile, has seen the most significant price increase across the whole Scorpio-N lineup, rising by Rs 1.01 lakh. The Z8 L AT RWD and Z8 L AT 4WD have had the smallest price increases of Rs 15,000, while the Z8 L MT rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive models are more expensive at Rs 55,000.
Why did Mahindra Scorpio-N prices increase?
Given that the Mahindra Scorpio-N was initially released at lower pricing, this price hike was unavoidable. The price increases for the entire Scorpio-N line had already been foreshadowed by Mahindra and were finally implemented in January 2023.

When the Mahindra Scorpio-N was introduced in Q3 2022, waiting times shot up to a full year and it immediately tore up the sales charts. Mahindra offered two engine choices for the Scorpio-N: a 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine and a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. The petrol engine has a power output of 203 PS and a torque output of 370 Nm or 380 Nm for manual and automatic versions, respectively.
However, diesel-powered models are where the majority of sales are happening. In the lower-spec versions, the 2.2-liter diesel engine makes 132 PS and 300 Nm of torque. The same engine, however, delivers 175 PS of power in higher-spec models, with claimed torque outputs of 370 Nm for manual models and 400 Nm for automatic models. Both the gasoline and diesel engine options come with six-speed manual and automatic gearbox choices, and certain diesel engine variations additionally provide an additional four-wheel drive system as an option.
