Mahindra Thar: The eagerly awaited Thar five-door SUV from Indian automaker Mahindra is set to debut in 2024. Multiple spy photos of the test mule—which is based on the three-door Thar—have emerged, offering teases of the future SUV. Nonetheless, the most recent spy photos have exposed the interior of the new Thar, displaying a production-ready design with a few additional touches. Read on to know more.
Mahindra Thar 5-door interior details
The spy photos reveal that the test vehicle has a sunroof, which is probably going to be an optional feature. Like the Scorpio N and XUV700, it also has two speakers installed on the roof.
The Thar 5-door from Mahindra is probably going to get a bigger touchscreen infotainment system installed. Presently, the 7-inch head unit that comes with the Thar 3-door can be swapped out for a 10-inch unit. The SUV also receives front seats with lots of bolstering and a new steering wheel.
Expected powertrain details
Regarding technical details, it is anticipated that the next five-door Thar will be propelled by the same 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines. There will be two different gearbox options: an automated gearbox and a six-speed manual.
