Mahindra Thar crosses the 1 Lakh sales milestone, all you should know about this mean machine

Mahindra Thar: The Mahindra Thar, which was introduced in August 2020, has become immensely popular for the Indian automaker. According to a recent announcement from the automaker, the lifestyle off-roader has already sold over one lakh units in the nation.

Mahindra Thar specifications

Three different engines are available for the Mahindra Thar off-road SUV: a 1.5-litre diesel with 118 horsepower and 300 Newton metres of torque, a 2.2-litre diesel with 130 horsepower and 300 Newton metres of torque, and a 2.0-litre turbocharged petroleum with 150 horsepower and 320 Newton metres of torque. A rear-wheel drive is an option for the 1.5-litre diesel and 2-litre turbo-petrol engines, while four-wheel drive is an option for the turbo-petrol and bigger diesel engines. The 2-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines are the only ones that can be had with an automatic transmission; a 6-speed manual is available as standard.

The Indian-spec 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine in the Suzuki Jimny generates 104 Hp and 134 Nm of torque. You have the option of a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission. The Jimny has a low-range transfer case and can drive all four wheels.

Features

The off-road SUV from Mahindra now has a seven-inch touchscreen entertainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Moreover, it has steering-mounted controls, halogen headlights with LED DRLs, an electrically controlled air conditioner, and cruise control. A washable interior floor and removable roof panels have also been added by Mahindra.

Price in India

Mahindra Thar’s price ranges from Rs. 9.99 Lakh to Rs. 16.49 Lakh. 13 different Mahindra Thar models are available.
