Mahindra XUV 700: The Mahindra XUV700 has always been a well-liked model, and the wait time for one can be as long as 16 months. Despite the Scorpio N making a splash with comparable cost, customers of midsize SUVs continue to favour the XUV700. Now that the XUV700’s sales data for November 2022 is out, we can tell you which fuel type is most preferred by customers of the midsize SUV.

In fact, the XUV700’s petrol versions were well-liked, particularly in September and October 2022. At the same period last year, the petrol versions significantly outsold the diesel. But in 2022, the XUV700’s diesel models outsold its petrol models in popularity.

Mahindra has stated that it will begin increasing production to meet the market’s rising demand for SUVs. By the end of 2023, the company hopes to increase monthly production from 28,000 to 49,000 SUVs. The XUV700 is available in 5- and 7-seat configurations and competes with the Tata Harrier, Safari, MG Hector, and Hyundai Alcazar. It comes with two engines: a 200bhp, 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine and a 2.2L turbo mHawk diesel engine. The diesel engine is available in two configurations: 155bhp with 360Nm (for entry-level variants) and 185bhp with 420Nm (MT)/450 (AT) (for the higher trims). Both manual and automatic transmissions are available.
