Mahindra XUV.e8: Five electric SUV designs were unveiled by Mahindra & Mahindra in August 2022. Two new sub-brands, XUV.e and BE, will be used to market these SUVs. The XUV.e will initially be on our market in 2024. The Born Electric SUV will be unveiled by Mahindra on February 10, 2023, in the Indian market.
By December 2024, the first XUV.e model would be available in India, according to Mahindra. Mahindra hasn’t yet made a formal statement about this, though. The new INGLO modular platform, which has numerous powertrain options, wheelbases, track widths, and AWD and RWD layouts, is being used to construct these new EVs.

Mahindra XUV.e8 Design
The first Mahindra Born Electric SUV to hit the Indian market will be the XUV.e8. Its appearance is comparable to that of the XUV700, the company’s flagship model. The XUV.e8 is 4,740mm long, 1900mm wide, and 1760mm tall in terms of dimensions. Its wheelbase is 2762mm as well. The future electric SUV is 45mm longer, 10mm wider, and 5mm taller than the XUV700. Additionally, the wheelbase is 7mm longer.
The new Mahindra XUV.e8 should have additional interior room because of to the flat floor and longer wheelbase. Versions with 5 and 7 seats can both be introduced in the Indian market. The closed front grille, full-width LED light bar, bumper-mounted headlamps, and finely sculpted bonnet are a few of the design features. The XUV700’s back has a similar appearance. It does, however, receive slightly modernised taillights and a thin golden line that spans the SUV’s width and length and combines with the LED DRLs up front.
Battery and motor
According to Mahindra, the new electric SUV would include a battery pack based on the Blade and Prismatic cell architectures. The battery management technology is said to offer a longer lifespan, safer operation, and improved range. The manufacturer has stated that the XUV.e8 will come with an 80kWh battery pack in addition to the AWD system. It will produce power in the region of 230 to 350 horsepower.
