Manish Sisodia: AAP aims to provide ‘respectable education space’ in Delhi government schools

Manish Sisodia: Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Saturday said the Delhi government aims to provide “respectable learning places” to all children in government schools and directed headmasters to set minimum standards with regard to infrastructure, cleanliness and environment.

200 Schools Principals Participated

Sisodia, who is also the Education Minister of Delhi, was speaking during an interaction with the principals of government schools in Delhi. More than 200 school principals from across Delhi participated in this program.

Interaction was based on Academic Priorities

An official statement said the interaction between Sisodia and the principals was focused on the academic priorities of Delhi government schools, cleanliness and maintenance of classrooms and developing a positive classroom culture.

Asked Principals to Set minimum standards

“Sisodia directed the school principals to set minimum standards in their school with respect to school infrastructure, cleanliness and school environment,” the statement said. In the last seven years, the government has done a lot of work on schools and has given a great model of education,” the minister also stated.

Respectable Education Space

Sisodia said that it is now the responsibility of the principals to ensure that no student is left behind while we go ahead with the next session after the summer vacation. He said, “The aim of the Delhi government is to provide respectable education space to all the children coming to the government schools and not paying attention to this would be an injustice to the children who have chosen our schools over others.”
